Remediation of groundwater and wastewater
with innovative colloidal particles
Products
Iron-oxide colloidal particles
Our innovation is based on the unique properties of the ColFerroX iron oxide particles. In aqueous suspension, they behave perfectly colloidal with large surface area which make them perfect adsorbents for persistent pollutants such as heavy metals (As, Zn, Ni, Pd, Cd, Cr, Cu, …), cyanide, fluoride. The iron oxide can be added to any wastewater stream to adsorb all pollutants in one single setting, or be injected underground for in situ remediation of large plume.
Advantages of ColFerroX iron oxide
- Non-toxic (Water Hazard Level Zero – WKG0)
- Non-corrosive
- Long-term (>3 months) colloidal stability
- Very high sorption capacity
- No H2S production
Silicon-based colloidal particles
Our patented silica-based particles and technology offers a one-for-all containment solution for isolation of any pollution in groundwater systems. Using this product, the source and plume zone can be contained very quickly and spreading of pollutants is minimized, ensuring high safety. The process works for any pollutant regardless of its type and is reversible, so no permanent changes to the environment are made.
Advantages of ColFerroX silica
- Non-toxic, earth-abundant mineral
- Non-corrosive
- Long-term (> 12 months) colloidal stability
- Reversible process
- High stability against pressure and temperature
